Purpose: Reduce defensiveness and build rapport

What is it?

• When I interact with others, I check whether they want to engage or do something

• When interacting with others I'm aware that they can make choices on how they react and that I can make choices about how I respond.

Usage examples

• "Would you be willing to discuss X?"

• During interactions, think "I have choices and so do others"
